The cost of a "dry" flight hour for the new LMS-901 "Baikal" aircraft will be around 190 thousand rubles, including leasing. This was reported by aviation blogger SkyExpert.
For comparison, he cited the figures for a "dry" flight hour on an An-2 – about 170-190 rubles under state contracts.
The cost of a "dry" hour on the "Baikal" is 150 thousand, and leasing will add about 4 million per month, which, at 100 hours, will add another 40 thousand rubles per hour.
The blogger reminded that the Mi-8 helicopter, with a fuel consumption of about 700 kg/hour and almost the same speed and twice the payload capacity, without inflated infrastructure requirements, costs airlines only slightly more.
It should be noted that a "dry" hour refers to the rental cost, which includes only the fee for the use of the aircraft itself and its depreciation, but completely excludes fuel costs. That is, with fuel and lubricants, the price will ultimately be even higher.
In the summer of 2025, the then head of the Ural Civil Aviation Plant, Leonid Luzgin, stated that the cost of the "Baikal" would start from 220 million rubles. "Pervyy Tekhnicheskiy" discussed in detail how the price of the aircraft changed over time.
