Deliveries of Russian short-haul SJ-100 aircraft with PD-8 engines could start in late 2026 or in the first quarter of 2027. This was stated by First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov on the sidelines of the Congress of the Union of Machine Builders of Russia.
According to him, the key stage of the program is related to the completion of aircraft certification in a fully import-substituted configuration, including the power plant.
Manturov emphasized that the basic guideline remains – late 2026 or early 2027.
We proceed from the fact that the Sukhoi Superjet aircraft must receive this engine already with the certification of the entire aircraft. We expect this to happen in the near future. And deliveries of these aircraft will begin either at the end of the current year or in the first quarter of 2027.
Earlier, Rostec reported that the PD-8 engine passed certification tests and is in the final stage of documentation processing.
Exactly a week ago, on May 7, the head of the state corporation Sergey Chemezov reported that serial production of import-substituted SSJ-100 would begin in 2027. However, now the deadlines have changed, but to a lesser extent.
