One of the oldest projects on the Russian internet – the Udaff.com website – has officially ceased to exist. According to Kommersant, on April 26, a message appeared on the portal: "The era of Udaff.com is over. The project is closed. We have already dragged it out longer than necessary. Thank you for being with us all these years."

Founded in 2000 by Dmitry Sokolovsky, the resource became a platform for publishing uncensored texts and free comments. It was here that the popular internet culture of "padonki" (scoundrels) and internet slang, which went down in history, originated in the 2000s: "preved, medved!" (hi, bear!), "afftar zhzhot" (author rocks), "ubey sibya ap stenu" (kill yourself against a wall).

At its peak, the number of unique visitors reached almost 16 thousand. An attempt to comprehend this phenomenon was the book "Bible of Padonki, or Textbook of the Albanian Language," published in 2008.
