Russian airlines are changing their schedules due to the closure of the airspace of a number of Middle Eastern countries.
Aeroflot has canceled some flights between Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Dubai — passengers will be offered rebooking on the nearest flights operated by higher-capacity wide-body aircraft.
The issue of operating the Moscow — Tehran flight on March 5 will be decided depending on when Iranian airspace reopens. Under the regular schedule, this route is operated once a week on Thursdays.
Red Wings has also adjusted flights to Israel. The next departure from Zhukovsky to Tel Aviv is scheduled for March 1 at 17:10 Moscow time — its status is being clarified. The schedule changes will remain in effect until flight safety is restored. Passengers of canceled flights may request an involuntary refund with full compensation for the ticket cost.
The airlines have worked out alternative flight routes due to the closure of the airspace of Iran and Israel, and flight times will increase. At the same time, flights to Israel and Iran have been temporarily suspended, the Ministry of Transport reported.
Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the United States had begun a large-scale operation against Iran.
