Aviation expert refuted the thesis about the inefficiency of the "Superjet": it is impossible to compare with Airbus and Boeing

Roman Gusarov stated that the SJ-100 is in no way inferior to Bombardier and Embraer

Critical statements against the new SJ-100 allegedly due to fuel inefficiency are not related to reality. The liner is in no way inferior to its "classmates" — the Canadian Bombardier and the Brazilian Embraer, said "First Technical" aviation expert, editor-in-chief of Avia.ru Roman Gusarov.

According to him, it is also absolutely unacceptable to compare SJ-100 with Airbus and Boeing.

These are aircraft for different purposes, they have different economies. The smaller the aircraft, the smaller the economy, that's the law. It's not true that the Superjet is uneconomical.

Gusarov noted that the costs of maintaining the first-generation Superjet are due to the fact that all components in it are foreign.

Foreigners sold us spare parts twice as expensive, twisted our arms, making the product uncompetitive. That is why in 2018 we decided to make a Russian Superjet. There were not enough spare parts, engine repairs were delayed for years, everything that broke down was of Western production. All these claims are not to us.

Professionals were satisfied with the Russian SJ-100. An employee of Max Aero Engines Private Limited, Suvendu Kumar Dash, emphasized that the liner "looks great".
