The new Russian aircraft MC-21, SJ-100, and Il-114-300 are capable of meeting Saudi Arabia's demand for domestic air transportation, considering the expected growth in passenger traffic. This was stated by the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Anton Alikhanov.
He recalled that the Saudi Vision 2030 program anticipates an increase of 50 million in transportation by 2030.
Currently, the passenger traffic is around 100 million, and they plan to reach 150 million. Of course, this will require transport capacity. But, in fact, the Il-114, MC-21, and SJ-100 are the machines that could meet the demand for domestic transportation.
At the end of January, the Il-114-300 participated in the international aviation exhibition Wings India. Rostec signed a contract to supply six aircraft to the private Indian company Flamingo Aerospace.
