The airliner made a technical landing at the airfield of the Irkutsk Aviation Plant, and then departed to continue certification tests in Yakutia. The distance between Zhukovsky and Irkutsk is about 4,200 km.

Earlier in the week, on February 3, the Il-114-300 covered its longest route to date, returning to Zhukovsky after the Wings India 2026 exhibition in Hyderabad.

The aircraft flew about 7,000 kilometers with two technical landings in Ras Al Khaimah and Makhachkala along the route.

The Il-114-300 is a modernized version of the Il-114 turboprop aircraft; the plane will replace the outdated An-24, as well as foreign Bombardier Dash 8 and ATR 72 aircraft.

Deputy head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Gennady Abramenkov stated that the Il-114-300 is completely independent of supplies from other countries. The aircraft has already completed the basic test program in Russia.
