In the course of work on import substitution of the medium-range liner МС-21-310, it was possible to replace five key systems with domestic analogues. This was announced by First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov.
According to him, it is about the wing mechanization movement system, the digitally controlled power supply system, the external threat warning system, the wheel brake control system, and the air conditioning system. They had not been developed in Russia before.
Previously, only one manufacturer in the world mass-produced certain systems of the import-substituted aircraft.
Manturov added that two import-substituted МС-21-310 aircraft are currently undergoing a program of certification tests in Zhukovsky. At PJSC "Yakovlev", aerodynamic characteristics, controllability, stability and flight parameters of the vessel are checked in various modes.
Note that the First Deputy Prime Minister did not mention the import substitution of the airborne collision avoidance system (TCAS). In a conversation with «Первым техническим», the founder of the flight safety and certification service RunAvia Andrey Patrakov explained that without TCAS, the МС-21-310 aircraft simply is prohibited from flying on commercial flights.
