Former designer of Tu-204 and its modifications, one of the former leaders of PJSC "Tupolev," Oleg Alasheev, asked uncomfortable questions to the former and current responsible persons in the domestic civil aviation industry. According to him, the industry simply "overslept."
Where have you been?! You slept and overslept the entire civil aviation.
Alasheev also admitted that he cannot single out any of the current functionaries in the aviation industry in a positive way.
Aircraft should be built by aircraft builders - from the very bottom to the top. Now it seems like there is an understanding, for example, Alexander Bobryshev was returned to "Tupolev," although I have a hard time imagining how one can combine the leadership of an aircraft building company and a huge amount of work on combat aviation in UAC.
The former designer also stated that the Russian aviation industry is currentlynot in the best condition, despite large-scale projects for the construction of SJ-100, MC-21, Il-114-300, LMS-901 "Baikal" and other aircraft. According to him, many competencies have to be restored almost from scratch.
