PD-8 engine unit production to be expanded to 200 sets per year

Investments in the Perm Machine Builder plant exceeded 2 billion rubles

By the end of 2025, the Perm Machine Builder plant (part of the Tactical Missiles Corporation) will complete a priority investment project to expand the production of units for the advanced PD-8 aircraft engine. This follows from the materials of the meeting of the Council for Entrepreneurship in the Perm Territory.

Machine Builder was granted the status of a priority investment project in September 2022. It involves the construction of a production building for the assembly of a reversing device and PD-8 units.

The amount of investment in the project exceeded 2.08 billion rubles. In the future, the company is ready to produce components for up to 200 engines per year.

The PD-8 engines are planned to be installed on import-substituted Superjet aircraft. Currently, the aircraft are operated with a French-Russian power plant consisting of two SaM 146 engines.

Earlier www1.ru reported that Superjet with PD-8 engines passed a rigorous test in Zhukovsky.
