Seven Years Since PD-14 Certification

The fully domestic aircraft engine is designed for MC-21-310 mainline aircraft

On October 15, 2018, the Russian Federation received an important document in the field of aircraft construction. The Aviation Register of the Federal Air Transport Agency issued a Type Certificate for the first fully domestic new generation PD-14 aircraft engine. This engine is designed for MC-21-310 mainline aircraft.

The development of the aircraft engine was a real breakthrough: it integrates 16 advanced technologies, and 20 unique Russian materials and coatings were developed for its creation. After successfully passing all stages, the engine fully confirmed the declared indicators.

Serial production of the engine has been established at the "ODK-Perm Engines" plant, and these engines are already being used for the certification of the МС-21-310 aircraft.

This achievement has opened up new horizons for the domestic aircraft industry, allowing the creation of competitive aircraft on the world market that meet the highest requirements for economy, reliability and environmental friendliness.

Earlier www1.ru reported why the МС-21 aircraft appeared in the St. Petersburg harbor.
