JSC "Aerocomposit" intends to purchase milling machines for 1.78 billion rubles as part of a comprehensive program to increase production capacity for the branch in Ulyanovsk, which is participating in the MC-21 aircraft wing creation project.
The Ulyanovsk plant is undergoing a technical re-equipment of mechanical assembly production, which will increase capacity, fill the shortage of machining equipment for the turning and milling group, and create new jobs.
The investment project involves the commissioning of 11 new pieces of equipment — five-axis milling centers for processing aluminum and titanium alloys for the manufacture of metal parts for the MC-21 aircraft wing consoles.
"Aerocomposit" is a subsidiary of "Yakovlev" (part of the United Aircraft Corporation of Rostec). It develops aircraft structural elements from polymer composite materials, and is working, among other things, on creating a wing for the MC-21.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that Rostec Showed Detailed Video of "Superjet" Flight with PD-8 at Extreme Speed.
