The hull for assembling light multipurpose LMS-901 Baikal aircraft in Komsomolsk is planned to be built by the end of the year. This was reported by "Vesti.Khabarovsk."

The construction of the facility is currently in an active stage, the concreting of the foundations has been completed, water supply and sewage pipelines have been delivered to the site, as well as metal structures for the building frame.

Production of aircraft and a regional aviation center are planned to be created in the territory of advanced development.

The engine certification for Baikal is scheduled for 2025. In 2026, it is planned to complete the certification of the Baikal aircraft itself with this engine and a new propeller, and serial deliveries should start at the same time.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that a unified maintenance system for Baikal, Osvey, and Ladoga aircraft will appear in Russia.
