Cost of An-2 " кукурузник" Reduced Threefold

The aircraft is equipped with a TV2-117 engine from the Mi-8 helicopter

Yeisk aircraft designer and co-founder of Tekhnoregion, Sergey Borisenko, along with his team, installed TV2-117 engines from the Mi-8 helicopter on the An-2 " кукурузник".

We have installed TV2-117 engines from the Mi-8 helicopter on the An-2 aircraft for the first time. The result is the TR-301/117 aircraft - like An-3, TVS-2MS, An-2-100, but completely Russian and three times cheaper.

The project is in its final stage. Currently, the fuselage assembly and painting are being completed, and the first test flight is scheduled for the coming months. If the tests are successful and the aircraft receives certification, the TR-301/117 will be able to occupy its niche in the small aviation market.

Borisenko is confident that the combination of reliability, low cost, and domestic technologies will ensure high demand for the new product, especially in regions where the An-2 is traditionally used for transportation and agricultural work.

Modernizing the An-2 is not a new idea for Borisenko. The designer has been working on improving this iconic aircraft for more than a decade.

In 2015, he presented the TR-301 model without a lower wing, and in 2017 he showed the TR-301TV with a Czech turboprop engine.

The new version of the An-2 stands out from its counterparts. The use of the TV2-117 engine makes the aircraft cheaper and easier to maintain, as spare parts for it are already available in Russia.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that the cargo-passenger An-2 " кукурузник" will be certified by the middle of this year.
