An-2 cargo-passenger " кукурузник" to be certified by mid-year

The aircraft's foreign engine will be replaced with a domestic one

Certification of the cargo-passenger version of the An-2 " кукурузник" is scheduled to be completed by mid-2025, according to Dmitry Yadrov, head of Rosaviatsia.

Then, specialists will begin import substitution. The aircraft's foreign engine will be replaced with a Russian analogue.

Certification in its current form should be completed by the middle of this year. Further (modifications) will depend on the power plant and the passage of certification activities.

Currently, three options are being considered — TVD-10, VK-800 or VK-1600.

Earlier www1.ru reported that Russia will restore the production of the Soviet TVD-10 aircraft engine for modernized An-2 aircraft.
