Certification of the cargo-passenger version of the An-2 " кукурузник " is planned to be completed by mid-2025. This was announced by the head of Rosaviatsiya, Dmitry Yadrov.
Then, specialists will begin import substitution. The foreign aircraft engine will be replaced with a Russian analogue.
Certification in its current form should be completed by the middle of this year. And further (modifications) will depend on the power plant and the passage of certification activities.
Currently, three options are being considered — TVD-10, VK-800 or VK-1600.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Russia will restore the production of the Soviet TVD-10 aircraft engine for modernized An-2 aircraft.
