Serial production of the SJ-100 aircraft with a Russian engine is scheduled to begin in early 2026, according to Rostec head Sergey Chemezov.
According to him, the production volume will be about 20 aircraft per year.
"I hope it will be the beginning of the year," he said on the sidelines of the congress of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, answering a question about the start of serial production of the SSJ-100.
On Monday, March 17, the first flight with domestic PD-8 engines was made by the Superjet. Also, UEC will soon test a fully import-substituted Superjet.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that Russian airlines withdrew 58 aircraft from operation due to the impossibility of repair.
