Specialists at "ODK-Saturn" are using new solutions for manufacturing gas turbine engine compressor blades - a hydraulic press equipped with a special die.
Due to high temperatures, the die is subjected to significant loads and can wear out quickly. At the enterprise, its design has been improved and equipped with removable elements made of heat-resistant alloy.
This increases the service life of the die and allows for the production of more blades before it needs to be replaced.
In addition, previously the entire die had to be replaced, but now only the worn elements can be replaced.
Earlier,www1.ru reported thatthe latest UTS-800 aircraft have started the testing program, pilots note good handling and rate of climb of the machines.
