A meeting dedicated to the production of SJ-100 aircraft was held in Komsomolsk-on-Amur. Andrey Soynov, Director of the Yakovlev Production Center of PJSC, spoke about the current state of work on experimental and serial Superjet models.
Currently, the experimental aircraft with serial number 95157 and PD-8 engines is being prepared for ground tests, and the first serial aircraft (97004) has already been energized. A total of 11 serial gliders have been assembled. The aircraft will be retrofitted with Russian systems after their certification.
Superjet-100 is a Russian regional passenger aircraft developed by Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company (part of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC). A fully import-substituted version of the SJ-100 with Russian PD-8 engines is currently being prepared.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that the newest PD-8 engine for the SJ-100 aircraft has finally lit up: the "heart" of the future of Russian aviation.
