Rostec and Irkutsk National Research Technical University (ISTU) are expanding cooperation in the field of aircraft construction. The State Corporation and the university are developing equipment that increases plant productivity by 2-4 times.
An important area of cooperation was the development of an automated CNC machine for high-precision shaping of skin and frame parts of aircraft.
The new equipment increases the productivity of a number of aircraft parts manufacturing processes, while ensuring high accuracy and product life.
Also, specialists from Irkutsk Polytechnic University have created a unique UFP-1 installation for shaping and straightening large wing and fuselage parts of the main heavy military transport aircraft Il-76MD-90A. This equipment is already used in several enterprises.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Russian PD-14 aircraft engines will be put into mass production in 2024.
