At Aviastar (part of PJSC Il), the production of thrust reverser (TR) kits and nozzles for aircraft engines has increased. This is the result of optimizing the production process.
The strength of any enterprise is its employees. And the result of work directly depends on the competencies, experience and knowledge of specialists, the organization of workplaces. And, of course, on the attitude to the work.
The work was improved through the introduction of a matrix of worker competencies, which made it possible to build a flow line for the assembly of reversers and ensure the interchangeability of specialists.
To improve the skills of workers, with the participation of Aviastar process engineer Denis Katishin, a competency model, a methodology for mastering operations and a standard product instruction were created. Based on these developments, turners, milling machine operators, fitters of mechanical assembly works, assemblers-riveters of the TR assembly shop were trained under the guidance of experienced mentors. The result of the common work speaks for itself - production rates have increased significantly.
The division continues to build a flow line for the assembly of TRs, taking into account the equality of cycles in terms of labor intensity at workplaces. Thus, the components of thrust reversers are now produced simultaneously, in accordance with the process.
