The State Research Institute of Aviation Systems (GosNIIAS) has developed special "Electronic Bird" stands for the integration, development and testing of onboard equipment complexes (BEC) of the MC-21-310 aircraft. This was reported by the university's press service.
The "Electronic Bird" system incorporates a complex of radio engineering system simulators. It allows testing navigation, landing, surveillance and communication systems on the aircraft in real time.
A special feature of the new stand is its layout and the applied technical solutions designed to facilitate the work of testers, designers and maintenance personnel and to organize the simultaneous work of groups of specialists, which increases the efficiency of the stand, reduces the risk of equipment damage during operation and speeds up the testing of BEC.
Virtual flights of the MC-21-310 aircraft are scheduled for April this year.
MC-21 is a new generation medium-range passenger aircraft with a capacity of 163 to 211 passengers. The airliners are assembled at the Irkutsk Aviation Plant.
Earlier www1.ru reported that a new digital platform for aircraft engines is being created in Russia.
