The inspection began after publications in a number of media outlets and Telegram channels in August that Pobeda allegedly flies with fuel reserves below the minimum. The air carrier denied this information, but Rostransnadzor still decided to conduct an inspection.
Rostransnadzor, with the participation of Rosaviation specialists, studied the agency's data, the carrier's materials, and the State Air Traffic Management Corporation. The study of flight assignments regarding fuel remaining confirmed the presence of the necessary reserve. Analysis of flight recorder data also did not reveal any flights by the air carrier with fuel levels below the minimum. Rosaviation did not register any aviation incidents or voluntary reports related to low fuel levels at Pobeda Airlines between January 01, 2023, and August 30, 2024. Based on the information studied, media publications about the airline's flights with critically low fuel reserves are unreliable and do not correspond to reality.
The agency also noted that it regularly conducts "a set of preventive measures aimed at ensuring the safety of the country's transport system".
