Roscosmos has distributed congratulations that Oleg Kononenko, Nikolai Chub, and Alexander Grebenkin sent to Earth on September 1 for schoolchildren and students in Russia.
Russian cosmonauts on the ISS wished success in their studies to everyone who sits in classrooms and at desks, those who go to schools and colleges, vocational schools, institutes and universities. They noted that work in space depends on the knowledge accumulated by mankind, and that they have to constantly learn and take exams.
Today, the cosmonauts congratulated not only children on Knowledge Day, but also their colleague, cosmonaut Sergei Korsakov, on his birthday. Korsakov is a Hero of Russia, a popularizer of science, with one flight and 195 days in orbit as part of the ISS-67 crew. He will go on his second flight as part of the ISS-75 crew in 2026.
The "First Technical" joins in the congratulations and wishes Sergei Korsakov good health, happiness, and many successful flights and joyful returns home. We recently took a short interview with him: read what Korsakov said about the state of the ISS, the construction of the ROS and small space missions.
