Bryansk Machine-Building Plant (BMZ) delivered 118 shunting locomotives and 50 mainline freight locomotives to customers in the first half of 2024. This was reported by the official channel of the Association "Union of Railway Equipment Manufacturers".
The company "Russian Railways" received:
- 102 TEM18DM shunting locomotives (diesel locomotive with electric transmission with an axle formula of 30−30).
- 9 modern 3TE28 freight locomotives (three-section mainline freight diesel locomotive with electric transmission) for operation on the Eastern Operating Domain.
- 41 2TE25KM series mainline locomotives (three-section mainline freight diesel locomotive with electric transmission) were sent for export.
- 16 TEM18DM shunting locomotives were sent for use at large enterprises in the country.
BMZ is modernizing its equipment. The annual production capacity of the plant is 300 sections of mainline locomotives.
