As part of cooperation with Tupolev, Minsk Civil Aviation Plant No. 407 will master the production of certain parts and will also be involved in painting the Tu-214 passenger aircraft. The topic of production cooperation in the aircraft industry was discussed during the visit of the President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, to the UAC enterprise, the corporation's press service reported.
Minsk Civil Aviation Plant No. 407 is our long-standing reliable partner. For many years, we have been working closely together in the areas of repair and modernization of Tu-134 aircraft.
According to the press service, the Tu-214 "flying laboratory" produced by the Kazan Aviation Plant, a branch of Tupolev, has flown to Minsk. Here, the aircraft will be painted in a new livery and retrofitted.
By the end of 2024, imported components and parts will be replaced with domestic ones on this Tu-214 model. In the future, it will join the fleet of one of the Russian airlines.
