Dagestan's "KEMZ Concern" will launch the production of the small "Alpha-KM" aircraft (based on MAI-411) next year, which was also worked on by engineers from the Moscow Aviation Institute (MAI).
Specialists have assembled a prototype, and it is planned to assemble two more such aircraft by the end of the year. The aircraft received Austrian-made Rotax 912S engines, which can run on AI-95.
The "Alpha-KM" version differs from the MAI-411 in its reduced weight due to the use of composite materials. The aircraft has room for four people on board.
The flight range of the prototype is 1.5 thousand km. In the event of engine failure, a parachute rescue system is activated.
It is noted that "KEMZ Concern" plans to produce up to 20 such aircraft by 2027. Investments in the project exceeded 650 million rubles. "Alpha-KM" can be sold in Russia and supplied to foreign markets, including Asian countries.
