A passenger ship ran aground in the Volga River in Yaroslavl Oblast. The incident occurred during a voyage on the Uglich – Rybinsk – Tutayev – Yaroslavl route. There were no casualties, and no oil spill was recorded. This was reported by the North-Western Transport Prosecutor's Office.

The vessel in question is the "Voskhod-3" hydrofoil. The ship has a capacity of 70 passengers. Transportation is carried out by JSC "Vodokhod. Passenger Port".

After the vessel ran aground, passengers were not left to wait for the continuation of the voyage. The shipowner, under the supervision of the prosecutor's office and in cooperation with the regional Ministry of Transport, organized the delivery of people to their destination by buses.

The exact cause of the grounding is not yet known. The North-Western Transport Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation into the incident. The Yaroslavl Transport Prosecutor's Office is also checking compliance with legislation on navigation safety and passenger rights.

As part of the inspections, documents of ship navigators, the condition of the fairway will be studied, and an assessment will be given to the actions of the crew and dispatch services.

Residents of Yaroslavl Oblast previously reported cancellations of "Voskhod-3" flights. In Rybinsk, passengers stated that they could not reach the final pier. The company explained the measures by technical issues or weather conditions.
