The military-industrial holding "Kingisepp Machine-Building Plant" (KMZ) won a tender for the supply of spare parts, tools, and accessories (ZIP) for diesel generator sets (DGS) for 4 domestic nuclear power plants (NPPs). The contract value amounted to 800 million rubles. This was announced by KMZ owner Mikhail Danilenko.

The supply of ZIP for diesel generator sets is an important part of ensuring the technical readiness of power equipment.
The availability of components allows for timely maintenance and prompt restoration work at the nuclear facility, he added.
The KMZ press service clarified that the holding's specialists will manufacture and supply ZIP to the Rosenergoatom concern (part of Rosatom's Electric Power Division). The components will be used at the Kursk NPP (Kurchatov), Leningrad NPP (Sosnovy Bor), Balakovo NPP (Balakovo), and Kalinin NPP (near Udomlya).
KMZ produces a wide range of ZIP. Previously, the concern supplied components for ASD-5600 reserve diesel generator sets (DGS) based on the 78G "Russkiy Diesel" engine to the Balakovo NPP. The kit included gaskets, sealing rings, valves, outlet pipes, and other parts.
