The Russian electronic warfare system "Volna Kupol Garant" is capable of affecting the Starlink satellite system even after signal encryption. This was reported by military expert Yuri Knutov.

According to him, the system can not only create interference but also render transmitted information unusable.
This is an EW complex that operates on an already encrypted signal. There is information that when it is used, the signal is completely jammed, and there is information that the signal is distorted, the data does not correspond to reality, and the signal cannot be used in work.
It is preliminarily known that "Volna Kupol Garant" is deployed on four vehicles with generators and is capable of creating an impact zone of up to 20 sq. km. At the same time, developers can further increase the power of the complex and the coverage area.
Knutov believes that a further increase in the complex's power will potentially expand the spectrum of its impact on satellite systems.
Retired Colonel Viktor Litovkin clarified that "Volna Kupol Garant" affects not the spacecraft themselves, but the reception capabilities of consumers.
