The "Progress MS-35" cargo spacecraft has passed a leak test before its flight to the International Space Station. The tests were conducted by specialists at Baikonur in the assembly and testing facility of site 254.

During the test, the spacecraft is placed in a vacuum chamber where conditions close to space are created. Simultaneously, gas is supplied into its compartments and pipelines through special tubing. Based on the test results, specialists determine whether the hull and internal systems of the spacecraft maintain their airtightness.

The test was another stage in the preparation of "Progress MS-35" for launch. Earlier, the freighter underwent factory tests at RKK "Energia", after which it was delivered to Baikonur. The factory program included checks of onboard systems, comprehensive tests, and pneumo-vacuum tests in a barochamber.

"Progress MS-35" is designed to supply the ISS crew. The spacecraft is to deliver necessary cargo to orbit, including water, food, fuel, and equipment for the station's operation.

The launch of "Progress MS-35" is expected to take place in September 2026. According to the published schedule, the launch is set for September 9.
