Tests of the new Russian passenger aircraft SJ-100 will be conducted by the end of 2026 in the Khabarovsk Krai. The checks will include a full cycle of ground and flight tests, reported the production center of the PAO "Yakovlev" branch – "Regional Aircraft" in Komsomolsk-on-Amur.
The first production SJ-100 has already been manufactured, received engines, and is participating in the certification testing program. Currently, the next set of production engines is arriving at the enterprise, after the installation of which new aircraft checks will begin.
Yegor Popov, director of the Yakovlev production center in Komsomolsk-on-Amur, said that the enterprise expects to complete all planned tests within the current year.
This year we plan to conduct a full cycle of tests – both ground and flight. We plan to complete these tests this year.
The new SJ-100 is being created as a fully Russian version of the Superjet regional aircraft. The machine has received domestic systems and equipment, and is also preparing for operation with Russian PD-8 engines.
Earlier it was reported that Russian airlines have already contracted for the supply of 42 SJ-100 aircraft.
