The training of Iranian pilots for the operation of Russian multi-role Su-35S fighters is entering a new phase. It has become known that Tehran has acquired three stationary training complexes that almost completely reproduce the operation of a combat aircraft and allow the practice of the most complex elements of piloting and weapon application without using real equipment.

Each complex is made in the form of a full-size Su-35S cockpit and simulates the operation of all main aircraft systems in real time. In particular, crews will be able to master the use of the N035 "Irbis-E" radar station, including searching for air and ground targets, tracking several objects simultaneously, and using guided weapons against multiple targets at once.

The simulators also reproduce the operation of the OLS-35 optoelectronic targeting system in thermal imaging and laser modes. This allows passive detection of air and ground objects to be practiced, as well as target designation without activating the onboard radar.

Special attention is paid to the weapon control system. The simulators imitate the use of air-to-air missiles, including R-77-1, R-73M, and RVV-MD, as well as high-precision ground attack weapons, among which are Kh-31AD and Kh-35U anti-ship missiles and KAB-500S guided aerial bombs.

In addition, the complexes allow studying the operation of the L-265 "Khibiny-M" electronic warfare system, AL-41F1S engines with thrust vectoring, the fly-by-wire control system, cockpit indicators, as well as crew actions in case of malfunctions and combat damage.
