The East Siberian River Shipping Company (AO "VSRP") will reduce the number of trips and revise the number of regular and excursion routes due to the situation "caused by fuel shortages and rising fuel costs in Irkutsk Oblast." This was reported by the company's press service.
Priority provision from the East Siberian River Shipping Company is aimed at subsidized transportation and ferry crossings in the region.
The company will use available fuel to provide trips on socially significant routes. In addition, an indexation of ticket prices is expected.
The company's management apologized to passengers for the inconvenience caused and promised to reimburse funds for previously purchased tickets.
AO "VSRP" is one of the largest shipping companies in the region. Its fleet numbers about 200 vessels, floating cranes, and barges. The shipping company carries out cargo and passenger transportation on Lake Baikal, the Angara River, and the Bratsk Reservoir.
Since Sunday, June 28, a high alert regime has been introduced in Irkutsk Oblast. It provides for restrictions on fuel sales to individuals. For example, at Rosneft gas stations, a limit of up to 50 liters per car has been set.
