Russian President Vladimir Putin personally inspected the new Il-114-300, SJ-100, and MC-21 aircraft. The presentation took place at the Gromov Flight Research Institute in Zhukovsky.
The tour for the head of state was conducted by OAK head Vadim Badeha, managing director of JSC Il Daniil Brenerman, chief designer of MC-21 Vitaly Naryshkin, and chief designer of SJ-100 Kirill Kuznetsov.
The Il-114-300 will replace the outdated An-24 and An-26. Delivery of three aircraft is expected in 2026 and approximately the same number in 2027.
The SJ-100 is a short-haul narrow-body aircraft. Deliveries of the import-substituted version of the airliner are expected to begin in 2027.
The MC-21-310 is the basic version of the MC-21 family of medium-haul aircraft, developed by Yakovlev. In a two-class configuration for 175 people, the aircraft will be able to cover a distance of up to 3830 km.
