Within a 5–7 year horizon, hundreds of new SJ-100 and MC-21-310 aircraft will be built in Russia. Aviation industry has become an example of high technology implementation in domestic industry, stated State Duma Deputy Vladimir Gutenyov.
According to him, aviation is the most striking example of the country's technological leadership; new models with fully domestic components are rapidly appearing in the industry.
These are hundreds of aircraft in the next 5–7 years, this is not only jobs, this is an order for science, personnel. These are additional tax deductions to regional budgets, which allow solving social problems as well.
Rostec stated that enterprises in 56 regions of the country are involved in the work on the SJ-100 and MC-21-310. Final assembly of the MC-21 passenger airliner is taking place at the Irkutsk Aviation Plant. Updated Superjets are being built in Komsomolsk-on-Amur.
Aviation expert Roman Gusarov explained that the Irkutsk Aviation Plant will not be able to quickly increase MC-21 production volumes. It will take up to three years to ramp up capacity.
