SJ-100 Plant Overcomes Bureaucratic Problem with Defective Parts

Yakovlev Production Center in Komsomolsk-on-Amur Expedites Replacement of Defective Components

The Yakovlev Production Center in Komsomolsk-on-Amur has implemented a new procedure for replacing defective components. This allows for reduced downtime during the assembly of the import-substituted SJ-100 aircraft, the company's press service reported.

Previously, when a faulty part was identified, a multi-stage procedure for documenting the defect, approving documents, and obtaining a replacement from the warehouse was required. All of this took a lot of time and affected the fulfillment of production targets.

To solve the problem, the enterprise developed an accelerated algorithm for interaction between production units and warehouse services. Now, document processing and logistics operations are carried out in parallel.

Thanks to this, assembly teams receive the necessary components much faster and can continue working without long stoppages.

A week ago, Yakovlev also optimized the production of the MS-21-310 in Komsomolsk-on-Amur. The time for issuing components to the assembly station was reduced from 84 hours to just 30 minutes.
