"Gold for this money": "Yurka" drone detector tested in real combat conditions

The device detects DJI and FPV signals in three bands at a range of up to 1 km

The Russian drone detector "Yurka 1.2" from "Laboratoriya Gagaring" has been tested in real combat conditions. Servicemen who used the device shared their impressions. According to them, "Yurka", costing about 25 thousand rubles, triggers earlier than another popular detector, "Bulat".

There's a lot of interference in the city, but it's excellent in the fields. Overall, it's gold for this money. It has already saved me and my comrades twice, with a total usage time of about 13 hours.

"Yurka" is designed for passive drone detection. It detects video signals from commercial DJI drones and FPV drones in the 1.2 GHz, 2.4 GHz, and 5.8 GHz bands. The detection range in direct line of sight reaches 1 kilometer. The device can also intercept analog video in the stated bands.

Technical specifications: compact body measuring 110×75×27 mm, built-in 5200 mAh battery provides up to 8 hours of operation. Charging is via USB Type-C (adapter not included). It has a color screen, sound and vibration alarms, sensitivity adjustment, interference filtering, and firmware update capability. The detector is compatible with directional antennas for precise signal source determination.

The developers warn: "Yurka" is a passive detection tool. It does not guarantee 100% drone detection and does not negate other protection methods — camouflage, video surveillance, and electronic warfare equipment. However, judging by the feedback from the soldiers, the device has earned trust and proven its effectiveness in the field.
