The Yaroslavl plant ODK-Saturn filed a lawsuit against the French companies Safran Aircraft Engines SAS, SA Safran, and Snecma Participations SAS. The Russian side demands to recover about $30.4 million and 461.1 thousand euros in debt under contracts. The case is being considered by the Arbitration Court of the Yaroslavl Region.
The French companies were ODK-Saturn's partners in the SaM146 engine program for the first version of the Superjet aircraft. To implement the project, the parties previously created a joint venture, PowerJet, but cooperation ceased after 2022.
As part of the proceedings, the Russian side secured interim measures. The court seized 100% of the shares of OOO "Smartinvest" belonging to Safran Aircraft Engines, as well as 70% of the shares of AO "Smartek" and 24.75% of the shares of ZAO "Volgaero".
In addition, two buildings on Petrovsky Boulevard in Moscow, owned by "Smartinvest", were seized.
