Russian "trustphone" Ayya T1 protected from data leaks

The secure smartphone received an OS Aurora update: system control was strengthened and over three thousand changes were added

The Rosele holding, part of Rostec, has updated the Aurora operating system for Ayya T1. After this, the device should become more resistant to cyber threats and better protect user information. This was reported by the state corporation's press service.

Ayya T1 is also called a "trustphone" – that is, a device with enhanced data protection.

The new OS version received index 5.2. It strengthened built-in information protection tools and integrity control of the environment in which programs are launched. Russian cryptographic algorithms are used for this.

OS Aurora operates on a multi-level security model. It allows the installation of only those applications that have passed cryptographic approval.

Version 5.2 also introduced a local attestation mechanism. It checks system integrity before granting access to confidential data.

The Ayya T1 itself supports hardware disabling of cameras and microphones. This is necessary to exclude unauthorized information collection. The device complies with the requirements of FSTEC of Russia and is used in government companies and organizations.

Aurora is a domestic operating system for smartphones and tablets, designed for corporate tasks and information security.

Over three thousand changes were made in version 5.2. Some of them were implemented taking into account feedback from customers.
