"Aeroflot" started hunting for MS-21 technicians even before the aircraft entered serial production

The company is poaching aircraft specialists from the plant in Irkutsk

Specialists for the technical maintenance of MS-21-310 aircraft began to be sought in Moscow and Irkutsk even before the start of deliveries of these airliners to airlines. The recruitment was opened by the maintenance provider "Aeroflot Technics", part of the "Aeroflot" group.

Vacancies appeared on HeadHunter in mid-April. The company is looking for aircraft technicians to work in Sheremetyevo and Irkutsk, where the Irkutsk Aviation Plant is mass-producing the MS-21.

"Aeroflot" previously signed a firm contract for the supply of 18 MS-21-310 aircraft, which are expected to join the fleet of "Rossiya" airline in 2026–2027.

One of the main requirements for candidates was experience in technical maintenance of the MS-21-310 and the presence of an A1 qualification mark for this aircraft type. However, serial deliveries of the airliner have not yet begun, and certification of the fully import-substituted version is ongoing. It is planned to complete it no earlier than October 2026.

In fact, specialists with practical experience working on the MS-21 are currently mainly with the aircraft manufacturer. The appearance of vacancies in Irkutsk may indicate that "Aeroflot" expects to attract employees from enterprises associated with the MS-21 program.

Applicants are offered an extended social package, including voluntary medical insurance with dentistry, discounted air tickets, additional vacation days, corporate transport, and compensation for mastering several types of aircraft. The salary amount is not disclosed in the vacancies and is discussed during the interview.
