First on the Scene: Motorcycle Rescuers Begin Patrolling Moscow

Daily patrols will cover key highways, forest parks, and recreational areas of the capital

Motorcycle rescuers have begun patrolling the streets and recreational areas of the capital. The measure came into effect on May 1. The details were revealed by Moscow Deputy Mayor for Housing, Utilities, and Amenities Pyotr Biryukov.

Motorcycle groups from the fire and rescue center are involved in eliminating the consequences of road accidents, providing first aid to victims in various incidents, and searching for those lost in the forest.

Rapid response teams on fire and rescue motorcycles will conduct daily patrols along various routes. This includes key highways, forest park areas, and recreational zones.

Thanks to the mobility and maneuverability of motorcycles, motorcycle groups often arrive at the scene first, assess the situation, and provide first aid to victims before the main units arrive.

Before the start of the new motorcycle season, rescuers underwent special training: they practiced first aid skills for victims, motorcycle driving, and the use of emergency rescue and mountaineering equipment.
