Now, a unified service will be responsible for traffic restrictions during mass events in Moscow – with its own equipment, trained employees, and centralized management. It has started operating under the Center for Traffic Management (TsODD), as reported by the capital's Department of Transport.
The capital is implementing unified operating standards and transitioning to specialized transport instead of buses and municipal vehicles.
According to Moscow Deputy Mayor Maksim Liksutov, assistance to event organizers will now be provided centrally and according to unified rules. The TsODD calendar already has over 60 events planned for 2026.
For example, during the Moscow Half Marathon, 390 employees and 353 units of modern equipment were involved.
The service's work will be coordinated by a situational center, whose specialists monitor the situation in real time and react to changes. According to estimates by the Moscow Department of Transport, modern traffic management tools reduce the number of conflict points and allow for 20% less equipment to be used.
