The Czech RM-70 Vampire turned into a fireball: a "Lancet" hit the MLRS with its ammunition load

The UAV caught the enemy combat vehicle off guard on a dirt road

Near the settlement of Starorayskoye, the crew of a ZALA Z-16 reconnaissance UAV detected a Czech-made RM-70 Vampire multiple launch rocket system. The combat vehicle was moving along one of the dirt roads. To destroy it, a "Lancet" loitering munition was launched, striking the MLRS ammunition load.

Footage from objective control recorded by the Z-16 shows a powerful explosion and a giant fireball as the rockets detonated. According to open sources, Lancet crews have destroyed at least 14 RM-70 Vampire MLRS units in total.

ZALA Z-16 specifications

The ZALA Z-16 is a fixed-wing reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicle developed by ZALA Aero (part of the Kalashnikov concern). The aircraft is built according to the flying wing configuration and is powered by an electric motor. Its wingspan is 2,815 mm, and its maximum takeoff weight is 10.5 kg. The drone can remain airborne for more than 4 hours, reach speeds from 65 to 110 km/h, and operate at altitudes of up to 5,000 meters. The range of video transmission and control reaches 75 kilometers.

The Z-16 is equipped with modern high-resolution cameras, thermal imaging sensors, as well as built-in artificial intelligence for automatic target recognition and prioritization. The drone is resistant to radio interference, has a secure communications channel, and features countermeasures against electronic warfare systems. The aircraft remains operational in temperatures ranging from -40 to +50 °C and withstands wind gusts of up to 15 m/s. Takeoff is carried out using a pneumatic catapult, while landing is performed with a parachute system with an air cushion.
