The Perm-based ODK-STAR plant is developing a new automated delivery vehicle, SADKO, for transporting parts in the main production building. The solution will help accelerate production processes many times over, ODK said.
The platform's payload capacity is up to 100 kg, and its speed is up to 1.5 m/s. It can be controlled either by remote control or autonomously using map-based navigation algorithms. A set of sensors to prevent collisions is currently under development.
According to chief designer Dina Sulimova, the name SADKO stands for "self-propelled autonomous delivery vehicle for components and equipment".
The further plans of the design engineers are focused on conducting comprehensive tests of SADKO in real production conditions, after which a decision will be made on the serial implementation of such systems.
Recall that ODK-STAR is involved in the creation of the PD-8, PD-14, PS-90A, and TV7-117ST-01 aircraft engines. In 2025, 130 new machines were installed there to accelerate the production of powerplant components.
