Alexander Kudashkin has been appointed the new director of the Omsk Engine-Building Association (OMO) named after P. I. Baranov since April 2. The information appeared on the Rusprofile service website.
His predecessor, Igor Shapovalov, served as CEO from May 2025, and left the company's management in January 2026.
It is curious that on January 16, 2026, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Omsk Region announced that Yuri Nurtdinov became the director of UEC-OMO. The department did not comment on the new appointments in the plant's management.
OMO named after Baranov produces a number of components for the NK-32 engine of the Tu-160M "White Swan" strategic missile carrier - rotor disks, deflectors, shafts and other components of the hot part of the unit.
Earlier it became known that the main manufacturer of NK-32 engines, the Samara "ODK-Kuznetsov", provided orders until 2027.
