UAC Restored SSJ-100 Aircraft for the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations

The ship's captain called the aircraft a reliable tool for solving tasks in Russia and abroad

Specialists from the United Aircraft Corporation have completed the restoration of the SSJ-100 passenger aircraft. The machine with tail number RA-89066 has returned to the aircraft fleet of the Aviation Rescue Company of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations. The aircraft manufactured by PJSC "Yakovlev" is already on the line.

The work in the technical center of the "Regional Aircraft" branch took more than a year. During this time, specialists replaced parts of the fuselage and updated the wiring inside. Also, employees applied a new anti-corrosion and paint coating on the outside and in the cabin. All failed components were replaced with new ones.

Aircraft commander Dmitry Korolev shared his operating experience. He noted that over the years of service, the aircraft has proven to be a reliable tool for solving tasks in Russia and abroad. According to him, this model is more convenient than heavy Il-76s for evacuating small groups of people. The pilot added that the aircraft is more economical with a certain load and can land at airfields with simplified infrastructure.

Currently, the aircraft is equipped with modern medical modules for transporting victims. The comfortable cabin accommodates up to 55 passengers. This allows the machine to be used for government missions, air ambulance, and specialized commercial flights.
