Outplaying the Chinese: Esports athletes from more than 20 countries will compete in the fourth BRICS Championship

The competition will be held in Russia in the summer of 2026

This year's BRICS esports tournament will bring together participants from more than 20 countries around the world. This was announced by the president of the Russian Computer Sports Federation (RCSF), Dmitry Smith.

He confirmed that the championship will take place. However, Smith was unable to share details about the event "due to the geopolitical moment."

The RCSF was founded in 2000 and is a member of the International e-Sports Federation. The organization holds esports competitions, trains and certifies judges, and develops clubs and sections. The Federation participates in tournaments including Counter Strike, Dota-2, "World of Tanks", Tetris, electronic chess, StarCraft.

In 2026, the BRICS Esports Championship will be held for the fourth time. Last year, the tournament hosted 44 athletes from 22 countries. Among the participants were representatives from Egypt, South Africa, Thailand, Brazil, Belarus. The prize fund was 3.5 million rubles. The winner of three championships in a row (2023-2025) was the Chinese athlete Zhoulin "XCC" Chen.
