The production facilities of the P. A. Voronin Aviation Plant in Lukhovitsy allow for the assembly of one Il-114-300 aircraft per month. This was announced by Alexander Shashkov, the head of the final assembly shop.
According to him, there are currently five workstations where they receive compartments from third-party suppliers, join fuselage parts, install onboard systems, and conduct testing.
On average, it takes a month to create one such aircraft. That is, we are now reaching a production rate of 12 aircraft per year.
Shashkov added that the Il-114-300 will replace the Yak-40 and An-24, which are long outdated.
It is intended for areas with difficult logistics. The so-called "PAZ bus" in common parlance, which will be used in the regions of our country. It doesn't need the runway to be shiny; it can take off from soil or gravel.
According to the updated program for the Integrated Development of Civil Aviation until 2035, 93 Il-114-300 aircraft will be built in Russia. The KPGA version up to 2030 indicated 51 planned units.
The aircraft is currently undergoing certification testing. On February 12, 2026, the crew of the Il-114-300 raised the aircraft to the maximum permissible altitude of 7600 meters. The flights took place in the Lukhovitsy area at speeds up to 580 km/h.
