Technician of PJSC "Yakovlev" explained why "Superjet" does not lose "screws"

Nikita Kolomiets: all aircraft screws are tightened according to a specific document

The new short-range "Superjet" does not lose screws, as all technical elements are tightened in strict accordance with the documentation. This was stated by Nikita Kolomiets, technician of PJSC "Yakovlev" for aviation and radio-electronic maintenance.

The specialist was asked a tricky question: "Will the plane fly if it loses a screw?"

We do not allow this, our screws do not fall out. There is a document according to which we tighten the screws with a certain force. Some we tighten without a set force, some with torque.

The "Superjet" has not yet been officially certified in Russia. The Ministry of Industry and Trade emphasized that SJ-100 does not depend on foreign components and is assembled entirely at domestic facilities.

Against this background, news appeared that "Yakovlev" had begun searching for a project manager to coordinate the SJ-100 program.
