Russia is already working on the creation of unmanned tanks. This was announced by Bekhan Ozdoev, Industrial Director of the Rostec Armaments Cluster.
He expressed confidence that the tank will remain a formidable strike force on the battlefield for a long time to come.
Another question is that the tank may become unmanned and change a lot — work in this direction is underway all over the world, and in our country as well.
Colonel-General Sergei Mayev stated in the fall of 2025 that completely unmanned tanks could appear in Russia approximately in 20 years. The development of new generation combat vehicles will be carried out on the basis of either existing or new platforms, including Armata.
Rostec added that the T-90M will be the last in the current generation of tanks. Experts of "First Technical" tried to find out which combat vehicles will replace "Breakthrough" in the coming decades.
